Web Developer
Person is responsible for assisting the Web Development Manager in creating, programming and updating websites. The web development team is responsible for the completion of all website work including creating and updating client websites and the websites of ArrowQuick and ArrowGraphix. The web developer must be able to work independently and collaborate with a team. Reports to the Web Development Manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Be an advocate for ArrowQuick Solutions to help the business grow.
- Update internal and customer websites as requested and instructed by customers and supervisor. Develop and contact potential customers about possible web solutions offered by ArrowQuick Solutions.
- Complete tasks as assigned by Web Development Manager and web development team collaboration.
- Completes programming and debugging tasks as part of web development project solutions for customers.
- Communicate with clients directly and/or with other Project Managers about status of project. Attend client meetings as specified by current methodology.
- Collaborate with web development team members to develop proposals, scope documents and other documentation for web customers.
- Create orders and invoices using accounting software for work completed or at end of month.
- Expand knowledge of web technologies through reading online trade articles.
- Attend and participate in all staff and team meetings as designated by supervisor.
- Complete Southern Iowa Marketing Group newspaper website news uploads per schedule.
- Create and expand ArrowQuick Solutions written documentation of the web process and methodology and policies as part of a forward thinking team.
- Duties as assigned by Print Shop Manager and Management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL databases.
- Understanding of web standards for HTML & CSS.
- Understanding of software development life cycle.
- Strong written and oral communication skills along with organizational skills. Background with software engineering principals a plus.
- Ability and willingness to learn ArrowQuick Solutions’ development methodology.
- Knowledge and skill in using software tools in web development environment including but not limited to Macromedia DreamWeaver, BBEdit Light or a similar text editor, and other web programming tools.
- Knowledge and skill in using basic office productivity software such as Microsoft Office and email.
- Ability to demonstrate a professional attitude and appearance when working with web project team members and customers. Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a sometimes-pressured work environment.
