Meet Dimitar Dimitrov

Interview with one of our newest team members, Dimitar Dimitrov.

What is your background — Where are you from and where were you raised?
I was born and raised in a city called Kavarna, which is located on the eastern part of Bulgaria, right next to Black Sea.

Where did you go to school?
I went to high school in Bulgaria and in the USA. I also went to college at Indian Hills Community College and at William Penn University.

What kind of jobs have you had in the past?
I have worked as an accountant as part of an internship in Bulgaria and I have also worked as test automation associate at ACT Inc. in Iowa City.

What do you do at ArrowQuick?
Web Programming.

Why do you like working here?
It’s a smaller company, where you get to know everyone and your opinion is heard.

Any hobbies?
Playing piano, sleeping, composing music.

Do you have any brothers/sisters? What are their ages?
I have a younger sister, named Magdalena. She is 20 years old.

Do you have any pets?
Not here in the states, but back home I have a cat.

Favorite book?
It by Stephen King.

Favorite TV show?
South Park.

Stan, Kyle, Cartman, or Kenny?
Cartman. :)

Favorite movie?
Napoleon Dynamite.

What was your favorite cartoon as a child?
Ferdo Mravkata (translated from Bulgarian: Ferdo The Ant).

Pet peeves?
Finding a TV remote in the car or anywhere else where it couldn’t possibly be used.

What song has been stuck in your head recently?
Kansas: Carry On My Wayward Son.

Biggest fear?
McDonald’s will discontinue the dollar menu.

Summer or winter?
Summer.

What is your dream vacation?
At home with my family.
